Our commitment to being a leading OEM supplier by producing quality components and providing customer satisfaction is the foundation of our business. In this blog article, learn more about our history and how we have remained committed to that foundation year after year.

1994: VPIC Group Opens Its Doors

According to a study from Cambridge University and the Society for Business Ethics, clearly communicated brand ethics are a leading factor in the likelihood of a customer choosing a company’s offerings over competitors.

Upon opening our doors in 1994, we led with a commitment to treat our employees and customers with respect and transparency, which has carried us through our successes throughout the years.

During our first year in business, we received a license to manufacture motorcycle frame components with a total capital of 2,267,820 USD. In the following year, we broke ground on our first factory that included pressing machines, welding machines, robot welding and bending machines to begin mass production of motorcycle components.

1996: VPIC Begins Producing Power Sports Components

With the success of our motorcycle components manufacturing, we expanded by incorporating liquid painting and powder coating lines for secondary processes. We also added wheelchair, trolley and computer chair components to our manufacturing line. The addition of automobile components played a critical role in doubling our capital, which provided more means for expansion.

Over the next three years, we met ISO 9001 standards to demonstrate our ability to consistently provide services and products that met customer and regulatory requirements.

In the following year, we began producing components for BRP, a powersports company headquartered in Canada. This was our first opportunity to expand into the global market.

2003: VPIC Begins Mass Production of Power Sports Components

By 2003, our total assets had increased to 20,958,344 USD. We expanded our global reach by exporting ATV, CBU and OEM parts to manufacturers located in the U.S. and European markets. We continued to grow our relationships with our Canadian customers by exporting powersports components.

Throughout the next 10 years, we expanded our services to other parts of the globe, most notably to Ducati and Harley Davidson. We met many quality and customer satisfaction standards by receiving ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001, JIS T 9254 and ISO 14001 certifications, among others.

In 2010, we received the NISSIN Award for best supplier.

2014: Construction of GPMI Factory Begins

In 2014, we expanded our capabilities again to accommodate our bicycle components manufacturing efforts. After developing Global Powersports Manufacturing Inc. (GPMI) as a member of VPIC Group, we constructed a factory dedicated to bicycle components manufacturing.

With GPMI starting operations in 2015, we received ISO 50001 certification for our commitment to addressing impact, conversing resources and improving energy management.

2016: VPIC Expands into the Automotive Industry

With the expansion of the electric car industry, we began to extend our services to the electric car industry to be part of growing sustainable energy efforts around the globe.

In the following years, we continued to receive ISO certifications for quality products and environmental management, as well as another NISSIN award for our increasing capital investment and use of high-tech equipment.
